I'm throwing a picnic style birthday party and this roller will work on many surfaces. Since nobody will check it, I'm not worried. Note, however, that this is a very thin plastic. My roll is badly creased on half of the surface throughout the roll. This is also sufficient for a one-time use in the background. But no, I wouldn't buy it again.
