Review on ☕ TIMEMORE Coffee Scale, Espresso Scale with Timer and 2000 Gram Capacity in Black - Weigh Digital Scale by Rob Marsh

It worked well for a while, was very useful for making espresso in a repeatable way. Then one day when I lifted the scale, the top part (covering the entire scale from above) detached from the scale body (see first picture). After a few days it came off completely (see second photo). This part turned out to be taped to a piece of translucent double-sided tape. For real ? Couldn't the designers have found a safer way to mount it? There's no other way to lift the scales other than to grab this top cover. I contacted the manufacturer (Timemore) twice about this issue and they didn't even bother to reply.
