As soon as I connected this camera it worked - very easy. I love that it has a red/green light to indicate if it's on or not. Also a play/pause button! The image quality is much better than the camera built into my laptop. A note: the color is slightly greenish and much more magnified, which you can see in the photos. The extra privacy cover (which comes in a little pouch - don't lose it, I almost lost it haha) is great too - no more notes!
