We bought this to try to slow down how our cat eats. She gobbles up everything in her dish, then goes and throws up somewhere and comes back to us hungry. To combat that, we had been feeding her 6 times a day in small amounts. We figured this dish would be easier to control this. Unfortunately, it was not to be.PROs:1) It's really nice looking2) It's made very sturdily3) It's very easy to clean4) Holds a lot of food should you choose to fill itCONs:1) And this is the only one we needed.our cat was NOT a fan.at all. The small protrusions from the bottom are VERY stiff and hit her whiskers, resulting in her not wanting to eat. Instead, she at first just followed us around meowing at us every time we were near the dish and would sit next to it and look at it. After about 8 hours, she finally decided to TRY to eat from it by pawing her food out of it and eating off the floor. This just meant that the dish ended up being dragged all over the place and food was literally EVERYWHERE.We finally gave up and went back to the regular dish. I would imagine for a less fickle animal or maybe a dog, it would work much better.
