Review on ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Ryzen 9 16GB RAM RTX 2060 1TB SSD Moonlight White Gaming Laptop by Michael Eldridge

You get Ryzen 9, RTX 2060 and a 1080p 120Hz display, it's one of the best combos for performance per dollar. Out of the box the PC worked for me without major adjustments, the only issue I had was that it came with Windows 10 Home and not Pro, which in my case needed an update; I hope that in the future it will be possible to publish professional versions. For the power it packs, this PC is thinner than most, definitely not a thin MacBook Pro, but not much thicker either, which is a definite plus; it's also much lighter than my macbook with significantly better performance - that ryzen chip loses out in the mac to i9 and gpu performance isn't even an issue - for me i also like the fact that the computer comes with minimal bloatware, I don't need uninstall everything at the very beginning it's clean, well designed and properly executed hardware, gold stars for Asus. I love this computer, but objectively I have two problems with it: 1. The success rate of the fingerprint scan cache feature is terrible: 6 times out of 10 I have to actually enter my PIN, and 9 times out of 10 I have to wiggle my finger to scan again, usually another finger, to go through Windows Hello. I really hope Asus will come out with a fix soon if it's a software related issue2. The keyboard backlight is uneven, and if you're in a well-lit room, the keys are easier to see when the backlight is off. In my case, I use it late at night when I really need the backlight, but other than that it's off by default. Value for money is a buy, now prices are coming down with upcoming 5000-series processors and 30-series GPUs if you're willing to wait for them - apparently Asus has made a great computer even better in 2021 , but nothing compared to last year's model.
