Review on Thetford 34120 Waste Style Toilets by Terry Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

JUST DO IT. YOU WILL NOT RUDE THIS.

Fitted into our Thetford toilet was very easy. If you work around the house and can remove the toilet, you can easily replace this gasket. Be aware that not all Thetford toilets use two bolts and a 'twistlock' to hold the top and bottom of the toilet together. I saw a YouTube video showing a two-bolt version of the lock and was ready to attack my toilet as such. It turned out that my two toilets were held together with four bolts. Super easy to take apart and put back together. Also remember that pressure washers (I don't know the technical name for these things) are used to hold the screws at the bottom of the case to keep the screws from falling out. Simply remove the top from the screws and you have easy access to the gasket. Then carefully level the top and lower it back onto the four studs. The gasket also has a flange that aligns and holds it in place while you're replacing the top, eliminating the need for plumber's lube to hold the gasket in place. The new seal restored the toilet to its original watertight condition. so that adding a little water can create a hermetic smell in the bowl. It was an inexpensive solution to the "smelly smell" problem.
