Review on πŸ”‹ Amprobe BAT-200 Battery Tester: Optimizing Battery Performance and Reliability by Scott Wallace

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice tester, just wish it could hold batteries on its own

I was using a battery tester at my dad's house and thought "why can't I get one of these?". so i have one. This one is different because two wires came out that had to touch each end of the battery, whereas with this one you put the battery in a clamp-like thing. I assumed the clip was spring loaded but it isn't. And that's fine, I'm not sure how it would benefit from bouncing, although I would like it to have some sort of platform or mechanism to hold the battery in place. Now it works like this: I have to hold the device with one hand and with the other hand hold the battery while I press the red part against the battery with the first hand. Sounds simple enough, but of course I've dropped batteries a few times while trying to use this thing. I still think it's a lot more convenient than my dad's reviewer, which required me to place both the reviewer and battery on the floor or table to hold the cable in each hand.
