Review on HOKA ONE Synthetic Provincial Trainers by Vanessa Szymanski

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Back to Brooks - Hoka doesn't qualify.

I've been running at Brooks for over 10 years and after hearing the rave reviews I decided the Hoka was worth trying. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I've driven them 140 miles and they've already been used up. I usually go for 250-300 for a pair of sneakers. I have a lot more tread wear on this run than usual and I've never seen the outsole tear like this before. I'll be back in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS. I invest in good running shoes because I'm investing in taking care of my body...especially my knees... If I pay a lot of money for good running shoes, I expect them to perform just as well as good running shoes. . Unfortunately, this does not apply to these Hawks.

Pros
  • Breathable open mesh upper with no-sew synthetic overlays
Cons
  • Almost everything is here
