This is a much needed product in your home as natural gas does not have a distinctive smell. The recent house bombings suggest this need. A previous version of this product, purchased 3 years ago, was faulty, preventing the purchase of the current device. The instructions for this product are not very clear and/or incomplete, especially regarding the use of the battery. Can the battery be used with a connected device? Does the battery charge when the device is plugged in? Is the battery buffered in the event of a possible power failure? I suggest the manufacturer create a website/YouTube presentation to further explain this feature.
