A fully functional outlet has both the red and green lights on. A green light that says "GROUNDED" is good news. The red light next to "PROTECTED" is not very good. Dude implies all my brand new ready made adapters are bad! I read the user manual and it doesn't say what the lightbulbs mean, but the labels on their chart are different. in the user manual diagram, the green light is marked as "PROTECTED", the red as "FAULT", which makes much more sense. until the red FAULT indicator lights up. I like the layout of the sockets, but I'm clearly not happy with the red indicator. I paid full price for 3 packs and now Revain recommends them at half price. Does this mean a lot of people are returning them because the red light next to the word "PROTECTED" is bad? I'll probably get mine back. I certainly can't sell the house or pass the fire inspection with one of these things plugged into an outlet.
