I have to be weird compared to some reviews. I find these coat hooks perfect for many purposes. I keep them in the shower so towels and rags can be hung out to dry after the shower. You have never let me down. I use them to hang things that I hand wash, they are perfect with no rough edges and are holding up great. I actually attached my tennis shoes to this after they were washed (1 to the clothespin of course). Earth. I use them on a picnic table by attaching a hook to an umbrella pole. You can trim a lot of things you don't want to blow away. Instead of placing napkins next to each plate, I attach them to hooks for extra durability. Children sit at the street table, paint and want to take a break to cut out their pictures. I hung the hooks on the umbrella poles and cut the cord of the battery operated lanterns to create a light effect at the party after dark. I keep one over the handle in my SUV and plug in all the charging cords in its place. they are everywhere. As you can see, I don't just keep them in the bathroom or laundry room. So buy two sets and try to think outside the box like me!
