I want to share my opinion about this model. The model is considered the top in the Potenza line. I have experience in operating two sets on different cars, which I want to share with you. The first set was 225/45 R17, the second 245/45 R18. Advantages and disadvantages revealed the same for both sizes. When buying, you immediately notice the very deep drainage paths in the tread, it looks very impressive! The new tire is not afraid of aquaplaning at almost any speed, it has excellent grip on wet and dry pavement, but subject to positive temperatures. At air temperatures below 2-3 degrees Celsius, it becomes quite difficult to warm up, but I absolutely do not recommend driving them in the snow, there is a feeling that they are not made of rubber at all, but of plastic. The tire is very durable, not afraid of any pits and potholes on the road, but because of this it is also heavy. Fuel consumption after installing these tires increases by almost a liter per 100 km. way. The most important drawback of this model for me is an extremely low resource, about 40 thousand km, provided that you drive without slipping and turning on the handbrake, apparently this is also a consequence of the large weight of the tire. It loses in comparison with the more budgetary Potenza RE 040A that was operated before, whose resource without problems was 70-75 thousand km. For myself, I concluded that the model was overestimated. The tire is ideal for those who like to drive on bad roads.
