I bought it because of the price and necessity. This is my first "horizontal" TV mount. PROS: Comes with a variety of hardware. Installation with a bolt. The long lever makes it easy to hide behind to do whatever it takes to make adjustments. .2 The location of the "hooks" for fixing the TV allows you to place different types of TVs at will. CONS: * The strength of the wall mounting screws is pretty questionable, but since they used 3 of them it makes up for it if you don't over-tighten them when installing. They can break.* The arm is REALLY HARD. You will need to loosen the screws on it to be able to move the TV in any way after installation. When you slide the TV (See the next step.) * The bracket that the "hooks” hang from does not have holes to insert lag screws. This means that any pressure and the TV will slip. When you tighten the screws, it simply folds back the tab they are in. I'm assuming there are tabs on the end of the bracket to keep it from slipping off, but I think they flex easily. "elbow" is against the wall and can cause damage. Also, the "hand" gripping the horizontal TV mount will do the same if you slide the TV all the way back. I had to use some felt bumpers to keep from crushing the drywall. * Horizontal alignment is very difficult if you are one person and the TV is big. With this version, 4 screws must be loosened and tightened. Even though the mount itself is level when installed, as the weight of the TV increases, it's a whole different game! This is not a quick release or flat style. * In addition, the vertical tilt is a two-screw design. This one is more difficult to manage as one tightened one will not hold a heavy TV in place when the second is tightened. You need another person unless you're doing 3 to 10 attempts on your own. I see this style as a learning experience. However, I would like to go the other way. I will be returning the second one I bought and will do just that. I bought a different type (different "brand" name but definitely the same manufacturer) that avoids all the downsides EXCEPT the screw tightening issue will be the same. I've already unpacked it to test these cons.
