I have a freshwater aquarium and was looking for a product to trim regrowing greens. I chose this product because it was inexpensive and it came with several other tools, not just scissors. And it works great! Four tools are packed in a drawstring bag that I honestly threw away. Seems like a nice touch, but not very practical for an aquarium. Curved scissors is what I needed originally and SAVE. They allowed me to get close to the base of the plant without damaging anything, and I didn't even have to dip my other hand to move the leaves. Two SUPER tweezers helped transplant, extract leaves and extract uneaten fish food. Angular in particular proved amazing for manual snail removal a month or two ago. The double ended spatula is actually one of my favorites! I have a sandy substrate so I have to stir it frequently to make sure the gas doesn't linger. The small end of the trowel makes this infinitely easier, and when I'm cleaning the siphon or moving things around, the large end makes smoothing the sand easier. It's also great for scraping algae (I use a glass tank so I have to be careful with this, but the corners/edges on it aren't razor sharp or even razor sharp, so if you work without being rough you won't get scratches (the aquarium, I can't comment on the result with the acrylic tank, but I suspect you'll need something softer for that.) In short, this is a worthwhile purchase. A great addition to any aquarium!
