I purchased this product to help block out the light from my bedroom windows. When I first started the midnight shift, I used doubled up black trash bags to keep the daylight out of my room. Which worked well until the bags became brittle and translucent from sun exposure. I read great reviews by other midnighters on this product and figured, for the price, why not give it a try.It came in a roll that let me do 4 panes of average sized bedroom windows with plenty to spare. It definitely blocks out 100% of the light! the only recommendation I would have would be to leave maybe 1/16th inch on all sides to tuck into the outer seam of the widows, if you cut it right along the edge, it will let light through.
