We bought 4 of these for our patio surround sound. They're wired (not Bluetooth) and need to be connected to an AV receiver (we connected them to an Onkyo TX 7.2ch home theater receiver). It took a bit of work to get it installed and connected properly, but it was worth it. All four of us are covered with a patio canopy so there is minimal exposure to rain and sun. We sit outside on our patio here in Phoenix over 9 months a year and it has helped transform our indoor patio (15ft x 25ft) into an outdoor living space. We hooked up 2 just below our outdoor TV and then 2 more behind and above.
