These are such universal gimmicks. I bought two sets of these after using the first set for many things. I used them for two very specific purposes. I moved into an apartment where the cabinets often had crooked and misaligned shelves and I took care of that by leveling the shelves and using these rubber bumpers to lengthen or align the shelves. I also used some right in the wall to stabilize some of the wobbly shelves. For the second purpose, I use them as doorstops or wall protection. I'll either put one on the baseboard where the door meets it before the handle hits the wall. This way you don't have a spring stop in the middle or at the top of the wall. Another spot I've placed is on the door, next to the hinges, and strategically position them so the door only opens to a certain limit, which in turn protects your walls, cabinets, or mirrors. I ended up painting them white first and then adding extra layers for extra wear protection on the doors. So far, black hasn't made an appearance, so spray paint is ideal as a base coat. My doors and baseboards are white, so those white ones don't stick out and aren't very noticeable.
