The TV light is designed for 75 inch TV, but if you don't have 75 inch TV, it's ok. Excess can be wrapped around the TV. Easy to assemble. My husband plugged it into our TV's USB port. If you don't have a USB port, you'll need an adapter. You don't need to download an app. I believe that's only if you plan to sync it to your car stereo. We used it for our TV. If you use it for your TV, it will not sync with the TV sound. It's just nice lighting behind the TV. There are many settings and many colors to choose from. It creates a pleasant atmosphere and is visually appealing. The price is definitely affordable. Try it.
