Motion activated version HAS ADJUSTABLE OFF DELAY

First of all note that this is a color temperature of 5000K - I should have looked more closely at the product description before I quickly bought it because the price was so good , and it had other features I wanted (hardware connection AND motion activation; that's a rarity these days for devices without batteries, which I definitely don't want) because the color temperature is CRAZY HIGH. It's a very bright bluish light. I will try to warm up the color to 2700K with a LEE 223 or 206 gel filter. Anyway, on to the important info on motion sensor latency. They ship them with a totally FUNNY 20 second delay for the PIR motion sensor auto-off time for some absurd reason, and they don't tell you anywhere in the 'instructions' or on this page that it's adjustable, BUT IT IS . Disconnect the device and you can open the motion sensor box (which is also the LED power controller) (it's not ultrasonically welded, it's just screwed together, you won't damage it by carefully prying it open) and use the small Phillips head. TURN THE BLUE POTENTIOMETER COUNTERCLOCKWISE with a screwdriver until it stops; This sets the auto-off time since the PIR motion sensor was last triggered to 5 minutes 30 seconds, which is a much more reasonable time. Another important point about activating motion is that if you've been around and activated it in the meantime, it won't turn itself off every time it reaches the auto-off time. That's good, cheaper devices annoyingly keep shutting down and require a new motion trigger after each timeout, whether you've been around or not. One more note: I think the device should have been built with a backlight. a sensitive PIR sensor that disables the motion sensor when the ambient brightness is high, showing the time of day. Be that as it may, this is just a motion sensor with no high-light shutdown feature. I'm not really complaining about <$30 though.
