In the picture and in the only instruction for this product, the pulse communication port and the fuel outlet port are crossed out. This added a significant amount of cost and work to the value of the project. After figuring it out we had to install it properly and it worked as advertised. I suspect if you don't give precise and simple instructions you will get a lot of them back. The manufacturer must be aware that not all of their customers are ship mechanics.
