I bought Pioneer 3.5 inch speakers for $40 and there was no difference. These speakers are shielded - they won't interfere with your Arduino, Raspberry Pi or other controllers etc - look elsewhere). Update 2/13/2016: I put it in a smaller plastic box that I 3D printed and they sound fantastic. Now I hear some bass. So I'll change my statement - they're good for the average household.
