The leash is lightweight. Wouldn't use it on a large dog. It is suitable for walking a large dog but not suitable for keeping a large dog out of motion, the second handle is too far from the clamp for this type of use. Comfort I like the second handle because my SMALL dog doesn't like to leave the cork. We mostly walk on streets, not with heavy traffic, but she still has to come to my side if a car appears. That's the perfect height for her to be quickly pulled towards me as I grab the second handle. The stripper reflects light very well but I wouldn't expect to be easily spotted by cars as she is on a leash - not the fault of the product. She weighs about 20 pounds and is the size of a Jack Russell Terrier, weighs 100 pounds and has the build of a husky. .I recommend its quality and usefulness to get out of traffic or to be around strangers. If you walk in the dark a lot, I would recommend adding a reflective harness and having the adult wear a reflective vest.
