Luckily, I have a very handy dad that installed the thing into the ceiling while I was at work. He didn't say it was difficult, but he did secure it with more screws than it came with (based on feedback from other reviews) and him feeling how HEAVY the top plate thing is. With that said, the actual hanging of the crystals took us 20 minutes. It definitely would work easiest with 3 people. Person 1: I strung the crystals with the gloves on. Person 2: My mom handed the crystals to my dad. Person 3: My dad on a ladder hanging the crystals. Of all the crystals, we only had 1 with a slight problem that was easily fixed with a little wire we had lying around. Overall - I am very happy with the price and how this turned out!
