I bought this product with an extension. It was very easy to install and I really like the lever on the head that allows you to turn the water off there instead of having to turn off the water on the normal handle. The push button feature that allows you to switch spray modes with a single click rather than a dial is just awesome! I bought it for my uncle who had an accident that left his arm paralyzed and unable to walk. He can operate all functions with just one hand/arm and the extension allows him to move to a standing position when he feels better. The extension also allows you to position the shower head in the middle of the shower/tub instead of in front. This gives him space to sit on the shower seat without banging his knees against the front wall and still allows him to easily grab the shower head to use it. This really allowed him to become more independent as anyone can understand how humiliating it can be to need a stranger (guardian) to bathe with. At 6.1ft tall, the extender is taller than his original fixed shower head, allowing him to comfortably stand in the shower now that he can stand. This is a very versatile product and I highly recommend adding an extension to your order. This would be great for any show/bath. As the kids grow, it can be adjusted to many positions, pet bathing also becomes easier since you don't have to knock over the handle (water flows everywhere and the pet tries to escape by soaking the entire tub) to turn it off the water or change the spray pattern. We'll get an atomizer for every bathroom after seeing how adjustable it is, as well as controls right on the atomizer head that can be operated with one hand. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
