Zeedix 2 pc Wire Gauge Tool - DISASTER

I used this tool to measure the cross section of OBD2 cables. The 21 gauge and 26 gauge holes are exactly the same size. But things don't end there, the 22-25 caliber holes are smaller than both 21 and 26 and the wire doesn't even fit, but does it fit the 26 caliber hole? In addition, the numbers are not engraved, but simply printed on. FYI, this tool is solid stamped metal. How could it be so imprecise?
