They have this vintage Radio Shack 64-053 soldering station (digital version). Dared to pass these tips and (drum roll please). Yes, they fit! Solder on pads. I have a few other upcoming projects (like building a custom arcade joystick etc) for PC etc so this tip installed a long awaited update to breathe new life into an old but working soldering station. I will be buying a Hakko in the future but this will last me for another year or two :) Just to be perfectly clear: the advice is fine. I turned on the power and lightly tinned the wire I want to connect to the Arduino board. So this is my soldering station working 100%! Thanks very much!
