Used in: Standard all glass aquarium with a thin layer of coconut shell substrate for my leopard gecko. warm side for the gecko. The substrate will dry out over time if not sprayed with water regularly. If your pet has a home or sanctuary where they often sit, I would place them on the opposite side of the tank. This thing can get pretty hot depending on how well insulated the gasket under the tank is. My only question is should I use a heat lamp instead? Is there anything the heat lamp gives that it doesn't have? That's my only concern.
