Review on Chemical Guys Clay_Block_KIT Surface Cleaner by Dawson Schmidt

Cheap foam block with a thin layer of clay/rubber that can scratch the car

I guess I didn't look closely enough at the clay block and thought it was a fully malleable piece of clay but what you actually get is a foam block with a thin layer of clay/rubber polymer. I agree with the other reviews saying it seems to scratch the surface of the paint. Small scratches were noticed and I stopped using the bar. The liquid itself smells very nice, but leaves stains. I, who live in an apartment and don't have a hose for water, have used no-rinse brothers chemical detergent and I can see that it works just as well as stain-free grease. Not the manufacturers fault. but the package was damaged and i was notified. I got an automatic refund from Revain but they still managed to send me the clay stick without the lube spray. So I bought another lubricating spray without a block. I'll probably use it up and buy another solid clay block with a thin layer of textured clay/rubber in place of that foam block. It really is like wiping down a car with a mop. I need a plastic clay block that I can bend and collect sediment, but unfortunately that's not the case.
