The grind itself is good but I bought this to replace a Turkish style coffee grinder which was very easy to turn as the handle at 90 degree angle came out - so the ergonomics of grinding with it was easy - however, the handle of this coffee grinder rises at an acute angle, making it almost impossible to simply hold it in one hand and turn it with the other. I've found that the only way I can really turn it is to hold the knob and nut still in one hand and turn the entire wooden case. This makes the crank about 10 times slower because you have to turn it again for every 1/3 crank. I wouldn't buy it again, even with a superior sharpening blade. You might as well get a regular round top wooden coffee grinder that you see in restaurants. You could keep my old Turkish coffee grinder running. The bad news is that the new Turkish models are so cheaply made that they don't grind well. You can't win for the sake of losing.
