Review on 📏 Stanley 33 279 Inch English Tape Measure by Lawrence Crespo

These tapes were frustrating for me and the team to use. While the band itself has a hard width (1-1/8 inch) and lifts up well, the spring mechanism is weak and fails on both bands, which I bought within 2 months of occasional use. "Max" is conceptually a great alternative to "FatMax" which is a very high quality American made tape but too big to fit well in your tool belt. "Max" is imported, and it seems that in addition to saving on labor costs, Stanley has also invested in cheaper components. The same poor quality is typical of Stanley's "Lever Lock Tapes", which are also imported.
