Good tape for the price

Great price if you're going through them based on job conditions. We use a lot of tape measures at work and finding a good tape measure at a reasonable price is perfect for us and helps keep costs down.

Pros
  • Impact resistant ABS body with heavy duty rubber, withstands heavy use
Cons
  • Doubtful

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Definitely great for home use but not for commercial work.

The strap itself is quite strong, it won't give until pulled out more than 8ft or so so not bad. The case is made of plastic only. So if you do heavy commercial work, this probably isn't for you. But definitely a good tape measure for housework.

Pros
  • Corrosion resistant Tru-Zero end hook with 3 rivets for accurate measurements
Cons
  • Very expensive

Poor quality, good for tape measure

These tapes were frustrating for me and the team to use. While the band itself has a hard width (1-1/8 inch) and lifts up well, the spring mechanism is weak and fails on both bands, which I bought within 2 months of occasional use. "Max" is conceptually a great alternative to "FatMax" which is a very high quality American made tape but too big to fit well in your tool belt. "Max" is imported, and it seems that in addition to saving on labor costs, Stanley has also invested in cheaper…

Pros
  • Blade width 1-1/8" for easy reading
Cons
  • I will add later
