. So far I am very satisfied with this item. I bought it from RefurbChoice to use as a Plex Media Server connected to my home LAN. Everything was set up fairly quickly, with a few minor tweaks for my purposes. I saw several reviews with serious problems but thankfully I didn't have any. I think that with ads like this, choosing which seller you buy from is very important. Here is my full experience! Unboxing - I was a little apprehensive at first as it came in a pretty shabby standard Amazon box, but it was sealed with tape. Spring. When I opened the package all I saw was butcher paper heavily crumpled. Not sure why, but this paper looked like it had been used multiple times. I have no problem with that, mind you. If this is how they keep their costs down, cheers to packaging recycling! As I dug deeper I breathed a sigh of relief to see that the real PC was wrapped in what appeared to be a thick sheet of packaging bubbles wrapped around all the items. It was evident that at least some effort had been put into the packaging, even if it wasn't the prettiest of presentations. I don't really care about beauty as long as it's functional. Inspection of Articles. Then I looked at the articles. Everything looks almost new. The PC was covered in a thin layer of shrink wrap to keep out dust and everything had a faint smell of medicinal alcohol which led me to believe it had been cleaned prior to packaging. No scratches or dents and the included keyboard and mouse looked new too. All declared parts have been installed and supplied (DVD drive, WiFi USB dongle, power cable with block, all necessary connections, etc.). The only thing I noticed is that the DVD drive wobbles a bit and doesn't look like a perfect fit. But not so much that I think there will be problems. I'll probably open the computer up later and just make sure it's properly secured inside and no small screws or anything got loose in transit. I'm also very excited about this size. It's half the size of the old PC I used as a media server and is perfect for my entertainment center! It's also very quiet. Installation - There was a piece of paper in the box with instructions on how to register the windows and everything went smoothly. It was practically plug and play. No problem connecting to my wireless router or wired internet connection. I only had to fiddle with the resolution a bit because I connected it to a TV and not a monitor. I installed the Plex media server and attached an external hard drive connected through my LAN. Final Thoughts. All in all, this is a great PC at a great price. Easy to assemble, looks good as advertised. The only thing I think would make it even better if it had an HDMI port. It's not a problem, I just bought a $6 DisplayPort to HDMI cable and I'm done. Of course, this is not a violation of the terms of the contract. Highly recommend this computer and this seller. I will definitely update my review if anything changes.
