6 month update: The cover has held up so well! I have carried it every day, tossed in my purse, and even with rough and tumble day to day carry, it still looks great! Love it!----I am a fan of the FIeld Notes brand of notebooks, and have long looked for a cover to carry them. I came across this product and the price was so good, I was a bit suspicious. However, prior reviewers did rave about it, so I took a chance and I am so pleased I did. I'll admit that I was initially disappointed in the color, as I thought I had ordered the brown, but checked my order and had indeed ordered the black so I decided to suck it up and keep it.It's beautiful! Smooth and and soft and buttery to the touch. I immediately set it up to hold 3 different notebooks- the lovely one that came with the order, which has my favorite dot graph paper, and 2 of my favorite Field Notes brand. It looks so smart and I am pleased to carry it tucked into my purse.The packaging is suitable for a gift - a small presentation box and a linen cloth to keep the cover pristine. I will not use the linen much however, as I would not want to waste the time to take it out each time. I will live with the "lived in" look it will result in, as i want the function more than keeping it mar-free. I expect this will last a long time. And such a great price!
