Revainrating 5 out of 5

Had to downgrade my original rating

I've spent some time with this shower head and had high hopes. My wavy hair has straightened since I moved to a house with unfiltered well water. When I showered with StoneStream for the first few times, my hair partially started to regain its natural density. I was hoping to order replacement stones for a year. But it was premature. The water softening took about 2 weeks. NOT the months that sellers say. I will keep the shower head because it uses a little less water than my regular shower head, but the main reason I bought it is the softening effect. It will most likely work if you change the stones once a week. So finally THUMBS DOWN. My original rating, which was for 3 encouraging stars, is below. This product claims to soften hard water and to an extent it does. I believe the effect will be cumulative, so I'll give it a little more time. I noticed that it uses less water than my regular shower. I have a fountain and the pump worked once during a 10 minute shower. So far, this has not been possible with the help of StoneStream. I like different nozzle settings, but it tends to eject annoying angled nozzles that hit you in the face instead of following the rest of the jet. My hair feels softer, but it doesn't have the frizz it had before I moved to a hard water house. The button that changes the water flow started sticking after about 4 showers, so I'll leave it at my favorite setting for now. I like the on/off feature but it doesn't completely block the water. However, I still have to try something. I would like to try a larger water filter but it doesn't seem like it would work with the way my shower is set up.
