I lived off the coast of St Thomas for 3 months and wore them exclusively. They were worn around town, on hikes, in the water, under a boat covered with shells, and on deck. I would advise avoiding hours of trekking right at the gate, but that can be said for any shoe.

- The shoes are very comfortable and the soft sole is different from my old water shoes.

- May not provide adequate protection against sharp objects
