Very good chair but know what to expect

Very good chair for the money. But it's not perfect. In general I am satisfied. I thought a few comments might help others. 1) It doesn't have a good tilt spring system. The backward tilt is very free and does not drag. You find the back recline position and then lock it with the side lever. The same goes for the base slope. Base tilt has spring tension adjustment and presumably a quick release handle for forward tilt. I really don't know what the point of all this is. But it suits me when fixed in a comfortable position. I don't want a chair that bounces back. I really don't like sitting in a chair that reclines instantly. So for me this restricted function is fine. I just leave it locked. 2) The rest of the chair is pretty good. Yes, the armrests rattle a bit. But they are comfortably under my elbows and adjust to the perfect height. I'm definitely a fan of the seat cushion and the mesh back seems to breathe well in warm weather. Adjustments are good when expectations are met, see #1 above. 3) They added a note to the build instructions to reset the seat cushion depth adjustment to access the last screw hole, but that can still be confusing. Put a cushion on the seat. We put the mechanism on top. Proceed to install the screws. If you get to one you can't reach, use the round handle to pull out the horizontal bar and move the mechanism to reveal the screw hole. Since you've already attached a few screws, this should be easy. 4) Another point of criticism relates to the use of 3 different types of attachment. Totally unnecessary but I'm sure it makes things cheaper. Get a head for 10 and a handle (not a ratchet, but a handle). Then it will be easier for you to tighten the screws. The supplied Allen key is not suitable for the seat mechanics, but can be used for the screws on the seat back. My #1 recommendation to a manufacturer when looking to improve a product is that they should get rid of the allen wrench and fasteners. Provide a 10mm socket wrench. The seatback bolts can have the same 10mm head as the mechanism bolts. 5) It seemed to me that the assembly instructions were a bit disorganized. They tell you to install armrests with the seat on the floor. Instead, simply slide the cushioning + mechanism assembly onto the piston. Then install the hands. You may have to look under the floor to properly install the arm bolts and washers (be careful not to mix up the threads!), but it's still a lot easier than trying to attach the arms to the floor. 6) I felt the back of the seat the same way. The manual was ordered incorrectly. Lay the seatback on the floor with the backrest facing up. Attach the steel plate to the seat back with 4 screws (stupid hex heads) and then insert the other end of the plate into the back of the seat mechanism. This makes the assembly of the 4 screws of the seat back much easier. There is only 1 large screw to attach it to the mechanism. Anyone can assemble this chair, but you have to be willing to put some thought into it. The assembly instructions are not perfect. Likewise the packaging. I could probably choose some other things. But less than $200, why? This is a pretty good chair.
