This is the best combo I've found so far to light up dark stairs without the flick of a switch and power outages. Most items on the market are button cell batteries which do not provide enough power to produce a decent bright light. The motion sensor is also on top, it lights up as soon as I start my step. I only have one problem, it's a magnet, it needs to be strengthened a bit. It started falling off when I first attached it to the wall. One of them keeps falling off which I just gave up and just put it on the floor which doesn't defeat the purpose just where I want it to be. I'll probably stick a stronger magnet on it. In general a good product.
