My new mixer arrived last Friday, 03/12/20. My wife has only used it 3 times. Today she used it for about 5 minutes and it made a loud noise. I thought it was the "blades" of the blender and I thought they were loose and I tightened them to see if the loud noise would stop but it didn't. So instead I grabbed the motor, looked at the underside and shook it to see if there was any noise. I noticed they lost something in the motor. So I loosened the four screws on the lid and noticed that the nut that is screwed to the base had come loose. This time I'll try to fix it by putting the nut back in place and if it happens again I'll need a replacement. Thank you and I hope to hear from you. From a happy customer.
