Review on Xiaomi Camera Gaming Processor Unlocked by Adam Kardasz ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

I moved to this phone from iPhone 6s. I am still sure that the iPhone is much better (although not worth the money). In general, I can say this: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, with all its shortcomings, I was quite impressed. It is beautiful, productive, large, and most importantly - inexpensive. Yes, I understand that in a year it will already be very outdated, most likely it will start to slow down, and so on. But this is the beauty: in a year it will be possible to sell it at a relatively high price and buy yourself a new Xiaomi for cheap. In general, I recommend.

Pros
  • 1. Battery. Two or three days without charging (taking into account active use) is a very good indicator, in my opinion. Even when 20-25% remains, you are not afraid to be without communication at the most inopportune moment, because You can also turn on the power saving mode. 2. Fingerprint scanner. Oh yeah! After the iPhone, this is just lovely. Apply even a wet, dirty, even sweaty finger - he recognizes it instantly. Moreover, at first I generally thought that this scanner responds to any finger, but no: it clearly recognizes exactly the print that was originally saved. 3. Screen glass. I won’t say that it’s directly divine, but it’s tempered Corning Gorilla Glass, and even, it seems, with an oleophobic coating. In a word, I carry the phone in my pocket without any protective films, and for 3-4 months no scratches were found on the glass. 4. Charger. After the iPhone snot, which is frayed and torn at any opportunity, here I am just happy. The cable is strong. hard. In general, reliable. 5. Design. I have a blue case, and it really looks stylish and does not get boring. The case is quite thick, but it does not spoil the appearance - quite the contrary. 6. Size. This is clearly not a phone for girls. To me with my hefty hand - and then at first he was too big. But now I'm used to it, and everything suits me. 7. Price. Let's put it this way: there are cheap phones, there are expensive phones. I think that 16-20 thousand for a phone with such characteristics is very good. That is, we can say that it is cheap (in terms of price / quality ratio). 8. Good optical stabilization. Because of chronic alcoholism . oh, that is - because of vegetovascular dystonia, my hands are constantly shaking. Therefore, the stabilizer often helps out when shooting video. In photo mode, stabilization is worse (small text is often blurry). 9. Case included. It is, and in 2022 it can be considered quite a virtue. Perhaps that's all with pluses.
Cons
  • I will be extremely subjective. 1. Android OS. For me, this is the biggest downside. I'm used to iOS and its brevity, I don't need a billion of all sorts of settings hidden in different corners of the phone. But here you have to put up with it. It annoys, for example, that when you drive and the navigator is open on your phone, then when you receive a call, somewhere at the top of the display, a tiny plate appears with a microscopic “Answer” button, which you need to have perfect vision and iron endurance to get into. Well, there are plenty of those moments. At the end of the conversation, the proximity sensor does not work, the light sensor behaves chaotically . Maybe it does not depend on the system, but on the hardware. But the system is also miserable, as for me. 2. Cameras. There are a whole bunch of them (namely, 5 pieces). And I still don't know which one is better. They are all equally bad. Do not be fooled by the loud phrase - 64 megapixels. This is a marketing ploy, nothing more. The quality of a photo depends not only on the number of megapixels. 3. The location of the fingerprint scanner. There must be a special place in hell for those who place this scanner at the top of the rear panel. Because that's where the finger rests when you pick up the phone. And, of course, if this finger is set to unlock, then the phone will always turn on. 4. Too smart. I'm just not used to that kind of reaction. Just bring your finger to the display - and the phone is already launching something there. Well, it's cool, in general, but I would like a little slower. 5. Stickers on the case. I understand that Xiaomi drowns for security, and that's good. But everything has a limit. To make such a beautiful body and stick it with stickers (which cannot be removed) is the height of bestiality. 6. Embedded apps and ads. It must be admitted that this is rather a forced measure. To keep the price low, you have to sacrifice something. In this case, the user's freedom of choice was sacrificed. I believe that absolutely nothing should happen (install/display) in any modern gadget without the direct consent of the user.
