Very soft and warm. It's a large size too - big enough that it's a little flexible at the end. I don't like it when my hat is tight on the back of my head. Due to the texture of my hair (type 1, I can't even hold a hair tie on it), the shape of my head and my glasses, it slips off really slowly if I move for a while. But it's not so bad to bother me, and it's more likely that the problem is with me, not the hat. I wear it every day this winter to walk my dog and have washed it several times - hand wash, dry flat. It still looks like new. He keeps me warm and is very cute.
