For reference, my son in the photo weighs 80 pounds and is 7 years old. The hat is roomy and fits well. He keeps his ears closed even when folded like in the picture. The fold is not sewn into the folded position so it could be omitted if desired. The gloves reach down to his wrists so there is no gap between them and there is room at the end for his fingers so he can wear them next year. Both the hat and gloves are stretchy. Some of the sets on this list have fingerless gloves, but these are regular gloves for this model. He throws them in his briefcase every day along with everything else he brings home. The hat and gloves are not snagged or torn and the pom-pom is still attached. I expect to get at least one more school year from them. A good set at a good price.
