Well at $25 this cooler is smaller than some but seems to suit my application - a forced air cooler. During the Covid lockdown I learned on YouTube that putting a cooler between the compressor and the tank will reduce the amount of water collected in the tank. There are many videos on this topic, so I tried it. This transmission cooler has 3/8" OD and 1/4" ID unthreaded hoses and easily fits 3/8" air hoses with small clamps. Installation was extremely easy and quick. The kit comes with special mounting hardware. It's actually plastic but strong enough for the job.I used PEX clamps instead of the supplied clamps as I just had them and I don't plan on taking them apart anytime soon.All I had to do was unclamp the cooler to install with a small gasket on the compressor fan housing. Cut off part of the air outlet pipe on the compressor and connect the hoses from the compressor to the radiator and from the radiator to the tank. Crimp the PEX terminals and you are done. The compressor switched on until it is leaking The air temperature coming from the compressor is hot at the hose connection but cold enough (ambient temperature) at the outlet of the cooler WORK IS DONE! be used before the compressor-side hose to reduce the stress on the hose from excessive heat.
