If you're like me, there's always one or more features of any Oriole feeder that don't fit into the picture. This feeder has EVERYTHING - it's so well designed and at a great price! It features a bee guard, retractable perches, and a quality Oriole brew holder - not one that's going to crack and turn yellow in the sun. The S hook is glued to the base of the feeder. My only complaint is that the "oranges" molded into the sides of the feeder need to have a bee guard and a different colored beak hole or something to lure the bird to the hole. My first oriole to try a feeder caught it right away. The second couldn't understand until the first came back and looked at him. Also, there are no guidelines, but it's pretty simple. Be sure to screw the detachable base VERY tight to avoid leaks. You will be delighted when you receive this bird feeder just like the Orioles!
