Wine red is really a pink-mauve color. The fit is typical of many women's tops sold here, the only place the size changes is in the body of the top. If you are an apple shape, without significant weight on your arms, this top is for you. If you are like me, with extra weight evenly distributed, buying a size larger won't help. The sleeves will be just that little bit too snug and the body of the shirt to voluminous- shapeless. The tie part doesn't matter, it adds no shape, this just hangs in an unattractive manner. I normally order an XL/sz 12, I went for the XXL and the sleeves are too tight the midsection unflattering. Not a paid reviewer, so very honest review from a fluffy lady lacking an apple or pear shape.
