The name and purpose of these pillowcases is misleading. They are not actually 100% cotton and are "perfect for tie dyeing" but are 100% Egyptian cotton which makes tie dyeing much more difficult. The color just layed onto the fabric without being absorbed - we had to push the color and press it into the fabric. I wouldn't be upset about this if I hadn't bought them specifically as the name suggests they are for crafts like the one I made. That said, our first batch of tie-dye pillowcases didn't turn out very well. , and a lot of the color wasn't absorbed into the fabric and washed out. BUT, the second round was much better as I prewashed the pillowcases (a lot) and left the color in for almost 3 days. The pillowcases were smooth and wrinkle free when first removed from the box, but they were wrinkled. So quick on the first wash and looked wrinkled. It definitely needs a lot of ironing. Not a bad product if you're just looking for a large quantity of white pillowcases, but definitely not what the seller described.
