Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 235/55 R17 103T winter by Wiktor Jak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

I amcommpletely satisfied with Goodyear Ultragrip Ice Arctic tires. I recommend to friends. And in the future I would buy the same tires again for another car. Video review: Urban operation. Often on clean asphalt. The noise of the spikes is only on clean asphalt. In the snow, no acoustic discomfort. The element of this tire is snow and ice. You can only get stuck in an icyrut if you hit across, or if the car sat on the bottom. In such cases, only a shovel helps. What I like about these tires is that they are predictable. No need to think that the car will skid or something will go wrong. Due to the soft sidewall we getcommfort. In terms of driving characteristics, it is approximately at the level of Hakka 8. It is in terms of braking properties on snow. 5 seasons in operation, per season I pass about 4 thousand km. stud loss: 4 studs per 4 wheels. Excellent result. Production: Poland.

Pros
  • Excellent predictable tire on any surface. In operation since the release date. Bought in autumn 2022. Like new. Bought for 3760r. Now in 2022, it is trading at the level of 3500 to 3800 in the same dimension. Dimension 185/60 R15 88T. Volkswagen Polo Sedan. Video review: During the winter season I drive 3-4 thousand km. + Good rowing in the snow thanks to the tractor tread + Predictable on any surface: snow, ice, asphalt. +Comfortablerubber, soft and durable sidewall. + after 5 seasons of operation, the loss of studs amounted to - 4 pcs. + 2 wheels without any loss of spikes. + Moderate stud noise on pavementcommpared to other studded tyres. + There is no noise as such on snow and ice.
Cons
  • As such, I do not see any shortcomings. - after the first season, 2 spikes on the rear wheel flew out, apparently somewhere got into a skid. - total loss of studs for 5 seasons - 4 pcs, 2 wheels without loss of studs. - at temperatures above +10-15 degrees it becomes like jelly. - in a 10-cm snow porridge, when braking in a turn, a skid may occur.

But even in the absence of spikes, it rides confidently on snow and ice!
