I have cut a lot of oriental cedar corks. I've always used high speed wire cutters and they dull pretty quickly. With a carbide milling cutter I expect a very long service life. I've already cut enough plugs that I'd have to replace the quick cutter. PS carbide cutter is not much more expensive.
