The Mega Maxx furniture lift deserves praise as a good tool for lifting heavy objects. When lifting, you slide the rollers under what you need to move, lower it again and the item is ready to move. This is a great concept and definitely allows the user to lift heavy objects off the ground. However, I'm disappointed with the durability of the lifter, so I'm sending it back. After being used for just a few hours to move three filing cabinets from one wall to another in the same room, the lifter and its four casters were so worn they looked like they had been in use for years rather than hours ( see photo). ). The tip of the lifter even bent, which was very annoying (not to mention I was in pain - my finger got pinched as the case slipped off the lifter and I tried to grab it). The cupboards were partially empty, so there wasn't much weight on the lift. At first glance, the red casters are cheap plastic pieces with a little pad on top and a bunch of little plastic wheels on the bottom. I assumed they would be crushed as soon as I lowered the closet onto them. However, they are much stronger than they appear. They could support the weight of the filing cabinets, so I could move the cabinets slowly. However, even here the red shells crack after just a few hours, the wheels wear out and the soft roller covers come loose (see photo). The casters should be metal, not plastic, or at least a higher quality plastic should be used. The supposed 360 degree rotation of the reels could also be improved. Casters allow you to move forward or backward. When you hold it in your hand, the upper parts of the reels spin. However, if placed under a heavy object that you are moving, the casters will be difficult to turn. At best, you can try to get under the object and see if you can spin each reel in a new direction. While the risers are also a collection of plastic pieces, they at least appear to be a more durable type of plastic than what's used. for roles. They stack risers on top of each other to create a base to raise the lift so it can be used to lift objects with legs or whose base is off the ground. For example, in my case each filing cabinet was placed on two 2x4s that were on either side so it was 2 inches off the floor. The bracket that the lift is placed in when on the risers is also delicate. The lifter is designed to slide over the bracket so the lift wheels are held in place when lifted by the app Lift slides off attachments too easily which is very dangerous as the lift is being sold for personal use so in the event of a breakdown it might nobody is around to help. Lifter to keep it from slipping out unintentionally. Conclusion: The device lives up to its claim of being a tool that allows you to lift heavy objects. However, it needs better materials to improve durability, some design changes to improve safety , and a longer handle to improve e-leverage.
