This product is very easy to install. I left everything at factory programming. There may be other things I can do to get the maximum and I'm sure the answers are on the CD that came with it. I'm still under construction for my house and don't have time. Even when it's floating or full and I load it, it makes the best of everything it can get from my panels. In full sun the float just gets a trickle, then I add a load and I've seen it draw 200-1000 watts based on that load to keep the batteries charged. For me it does exactly what I wanted. A hassle-free product to get the most out of my solar panels and batteries. I checked this product everywhere including eBay and at the time I bought it for the cheapest price through Revain.
