Easy to install without any modifications to your car.

So I decided to buy this OEM remote start kit for my 2015 Highlander Limited. I needed a remote starter, but I didn't want to buy it from the aftermarket or pay the dealer for it. Installation was very easy and required no modifications to your vehicle. The instructions are pretty clear, but I had to search the internet a bit to make sure I had the right procedure. One thing you need to make sure is that you have a hood sensor on your car. Otherwise you need to buy and install it. In my case, I was lucky enough to have it from the factory. Also, you need to make sure you secure the cables as instructed. After you finish the installation, you need to register the launcher on your car's computer. You can have your dealer do this, or look for instructions on how to do it yourself. As for the functionality of the remote starter itself, I liked how it worked. It's pretty easy to start the car with the remote, just three clicks on the lock button and holding it on the third click until the hazard lights come on. There were a few things I didn't like about it. One of them is its range. In my case it works fine as I usually run it in the garage or on the street. But others may think that this is too close a distance. Another thing I didn't like is how it works when you unlock the car while it's running. As soon as you open the car, it turns off the engine. So if I start it and have to go get something in a minute or so, it kills the engine and I have to start it again. To me, this isn't a serious issue, but it's something to keep in mind if you're planning to buy it. Unfortunately, Toyota designed their remote starters that way. Overall I'm happy with the easy instructions and the fact that I didn't have to drill or cut anything in my car. All cable and attachment points were already present at the factory. If you are a person like me I would recommend you to buy this and do the installation yourself. This will save you a lot of money.
